The Town Hall of Dozón is the building that houses the municipal government headquarters, located in the settlement of O Castro, the administrative centre of the municipality. This building concentrates the main municipal administrative services and the offices of the local council.
The original building was constructed in the second half of the 20th century, and in 2023 it underwent a comprehensive renovation that modernised its facilities and improved accessibility. The intervention preserved the exterior appearance of the building, while the interior spaces were reorganised to make them brighter, more functional and better adapted to current needs, incorporating improvements such as a lift and new public service areas.
The renovation also preserved distinctive elements of the building, such as the central skylight, the wooden coffered ceiling and the stained-glass window bearing the municipal coat of arms, together with the furniture of the council chamber. These features were integrated into a renewed space that combines tradition and functionality.
Today, the Dozón Town Hall stands as a modern public building representing municipal life, serving as a key reference point within the settlement of O Castro and as a symbol of the municipality’s administrative organisation.
