The Fervenza das Quintas waterfall is located in the parish of Codeseda, within the municipality of A Estrada, and stands out as a place of natural beauty and charm. Its crystal-clear waters descend in several cascades along a stretch of about 100 metres, surrounded by a lush oak forest that gives the area an idyllic and refreshing atmosphere, ideal for enjoying Galician nature in its purest state. The combination of flowing water, native vegetation and the sound of the stream makes the waterfall a particularly attractive place for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.
The waterfall forms part of a hiking route that passes both the cascade itself and the traditional water mills of As Quintas, old witnesses of the rural activity that once characterised the area. The itinerary allows visitors to discover several smaller waterfalls and enjoy the riverbank while offering different perspectives of the surrounding landscape. The highest drop reaches approximately 5 metres, although access requires some caution, making the route an especially interesting experience for hikers.
The trail combines nature, ethnographic heritage and outdoor sport, making the Fervenza de As Quintas an ideal destination for those seeking unspoilt landscapes, rural history and tranquillity in the heart of Galicia.
