The Church of San Xiao de Pedroso is a temple of Romanesque origin that has undergone several renovations over time, while still preserving architectural elements characteristic of this period. Its layout is rectangular with a smaller apse, to which the sacristy is attached on the southern side of the presbytery. The walls are built with granite ashlar masonry, the roof is double-pitched with ceramic tiles, and the structure is topped by a two-arched bell gable that stands out above the silhouette of the building.

The main doorway is organised around a semicircular arch decorated with pearl motifs. Its capitals display vegetal and figurative motifs, including representations of animals facing each other on the columns, while a small semicircular oculus is placed above the entrance. Inside, several altarpieces with sculptures can be seen, among which stands out a wooden Gothic Virgin, dating from the late 13th century and stylistically related to medieval imagery from Santiago de Compostela.

The building reflects the historical evolution of the temple, where Romanesque sobriety coexists with ornamental contributions from later periods, incorporating sculptural elements of great historical and artistic interest. Its architecture reflects Galician building traditions, and the sculptures and decorative elements allow visitors to observe the artistic evolution from the Middle Ages to more recent periods, making the church a valuable testimony to the history and religious tradition of the region.
